My mother is enrolling for some continuing education from home, and the college she’s now with has somehow managed to finagle accreditation on Masters’ degrees without requiring a thesis to graduate. The board decided to do this, you see, because too many people were passing the classes but then unable to write a passing thesis. Naturally, the best option is to lower the bar and just eliminate the thesis. Naturally.
